Trading tips and tricks

1. Understand the Trading Basics:
  - Trading in Pokémon GO allows you to exchange Pokémon with other players.
  - You need to be within close proximity (100 meters) to trade with someone.
  - Both players must be at least level 10 to initiate a trade.

2. Increase Friendship Levels:
  - Building friendship with other players will reduce the Stardust cost for trading.
  - Increase friendship levels by sending gifts, raiding together, battling in gyms, or participating in special events.
  - Higher friendship levels offer additional trade benefits, such as increased chances for lucky Pokémon.

3. Evaluate Pokémon for Trading:
  - Consider Pokémon with high IVs (Individual Values) and rare species for trading.
  - Pokémon with high CP (Combat Power) are desirable for battling or gym defense.
  - Some Pokémon are region-exclusive, so trading for them can help complete your Pokédex.

4. Decide on Trade Offers:
  - Negotiate with the other player to determine the Pokémon you both want to trade.
  - Pokémon can only be traded once, so ensure both parties agree on the terms before proceeding.
  - Special trades (legendary, shiny, or unregistered Pokémon) have higher Stardust costs.

5. Stardust Cost and Trading Limits:
  - The Stardust cost depends on various factors, including the Pokémon's species, whether it's shiny, or if it's already registered in your Pokédex.
  - High friendship levels can significantly reduce the Stardust cost.
  - Trading Pokémon you haven't registered in your Pokédex before grants additional Candy.

6. Lucky Pokémon:
  - A trade has a chance to turn into a "lucky trade," resulting in both Pokémon becoming lucky.
  - Lucky Pokémon require less Stardust to power up, making them valuable for competitive battling.
  - Higher friendship levels increase the chances of a lucky trade.

7. IV Reroll:
  - When trading, a Pokémon's IVs may change, potentially improving or worsening its stats.
  - Higher friendship levels decrease the chance of IVs decreasing during trade.
  - Trading with Pokémon caught over a year ago guarantees at least a minimum IV floor of 5.

8. Utilize Community Day and Events:
  - Participate in Community Day events to catch exclusive Pokémon with special moves.
  - Trading these Pokémon with other players allows you to obtain unique movesets on your traded Pokémon.

9. Be Cautious of Scammers:
  - Always trade with trusted friends or local community members.
  - Beware of spoofers or untrustworthy traders who may offer hacked or illegitimate Pokémon.
  - Never share personal information or make real-world monetary transactions for Pokémon trades.

10. Have Fun and Be Social:
  - Pokémon GO is a social game, so trading offers an excellent opportunity to interact with other players.
  - Engage with your local Pokémon GO community to find trading partners, discuss strategies, and participate in events together.

Remember, trading in Pokémon GO can be a fun way to expand your collection, complete your Pokédex, and build strong Pokémon for battling. Enjoy the trading experience and happy trading!
